Let’s Sale-A-Brate Stampin’ Up! Style!

Welcome to the Candy Hearts Blog Hop for January! Today we are sharing projects made using the new Sale-A-Bration products. After reading my post, I hope you will hop to the next person on the list below. Be sure to hop around to see ALL the great projects the Candy Hearts have created for you!

Sale-A-Bration is such an exciting time for Stampin’ Up! This is when you can get exclusive products for FREE, just for making a qualified purchase from either the Annual Catalog or the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog! Who doesn’t love FREE??? For every $50 or $100 you spend, you can choose between two purchasing levels of free
products.

One of my favorite items in this year’s Sale-A-Bration Brochure is the Level 2 Berry Blessings Stamp Set AND Berry Delightful DSP. If you spend $100, you can choose to receive both this stamp set AND the coordinating DSP! This DSP and Stamp set go amazingly with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle in the new Mini Catalog.

Because I love this set so much, I chose to use it as the focus of my project today. I also used the Oh So Ombre DSP that is available free with a $50 purchase.

Don’t these two paper sets coordinate beautifully together?

How I made it:

Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:

  • Thick Whisper (or Basic) White – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″ on the long side
  • Oh So Ombre – 4.75″ x 3.25″ (Solid Rococo Rose to White Ombre)
  • Berry Delightful DSP – 4.25″ x 5.5″ (Green Plaid)
  • Berry Delightful DSP – 4″ x 3″ (Small Strawberry Pattern)

Die Cut Using Ornate Layers Dies:

  • Your piece of 4.25″ x 5.5″ Green Plaid Berry Delightful DSP using the largest layer die

Die Cut Using Hippo & Friends Dies:

  • The piece of Small Strawberry Berry Delightful DSP using the largest label frame that resembles a square/rectangle combo (see card photo)
  • I felt that the label got a little lost on the Oh So Ombre paper, and there wasn’t a larger die to use to make a shadow, so I carefully applied some black ink around the edge of the label using my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker

Die Cut Using Stitched With Whimsy Dies:

  • Using the largest square Stitched With Whimsy die, run your 4.75″ x 3.25″ Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre DSP through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine twice – one time toward each end of your rectangle, with the square offset.
  • This is to add some extra texture behind our DSP label. You could use an embossing folder on the DSP if you don’t have this set of dies yet.

Stamp Using Berry Blessings:

  • The sentiment “Wishing You the Berry Best” in Versamark on a scrap of the Oh So Ombre from your cutting at the beginning of this card
  • Heat emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder

Die Cut using Stitched Rectangles:

  • Your heat embossed sentiment

Assemble the Card:

  • Fold your scored Thick Whisper (or Basic) White card base at the 4.25” score line and burnish with your bone folder
  • Adhere your green plaid Ornate Layer to the card front, placing it closer to the top of the card rather than centered vertically
  • Adhere the Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre panel to the center of the green plaid Ornate Layer
  • Adhere the Berry Delightful small strawberry DSP label to the center of the Oh So Ombre layer
  • Adhere a 3.5″ piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim to the back of your sentiment
  • Trim the ends of the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim on an angle to fit the sentiment
  • Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the sentiment with the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim to the card front
  • As a final step, adhere 5 of the pink Elegant Faceted Gems across the bottom of the card front

    1. This is just gorgeous! You layered everything just beautifully. That lace and the bling really finish it up perfectly!
