Love You So Very Much

Welcome to the Candy Hearts Blog Hop for February! Today we are sharing Love themed projects. After reading my post, I hope you will hop to the next person on the list below. Be sure to hop around to see ALL the great projects the Candy Hearts have created for you!

There are so many reasons to tell people that you love them other than “just” Valentine’s Day, so for this Blog Hop I decided to create a card that will convey my love “just because”, with none of the traditional Valentine-y colors or hearts. I hope you like it!!

How I made it:

Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:

  • Highland Heather – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″ on the long side
  • Black with White Diamonds from True Love DSP – 4″ x 5.25″
  • Purple Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass – 1.5″ x 5″
  • Silver Foil – 2.25″ x 3.25″
  • Scraps of Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Basic White

Stamp Using Forever & Always:

  • In Versamark on a scrap of Basic White, the sentiment ” You So Very Much”
  • Heat emboss with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder

Die Cut Using Always dies:

  • The word “Love” from Highland Heather
  • The background bubble for “Love” using Gorgeous Grape
  • Your heat-embossed sentiment using the long polygon die

Create a Banner Using the Triple Banner Punch:

  • Remove the protective coating from the pack of your strip of Hydrangea Haven Mercury Glass
  • Use the Triple Banner Punch to cut a wedge out of the bottom of your strip of Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass
  • The acetate may not want to cut in all places via the stamp; if this happens, carefully remove the strip and use your Paper Snips to complete the cut

Assemble the Card:

  • Fold your scored Highland Heather card base at the 4.25” score line and burnish with your bone folder
  • Adhere the 4″ x 5.25″ black & white DSP to the center of your card base
  • Using a strip of Tear & Tape in a place on the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass banner that will later be covered with the Silver Foil, adhere the banner to the card slightly right of center
  • Adhere the Silver Foil rectangle to your card front, lighted up to the left side of the black & white DSP, layering over the Mercury Glass banner
  • Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the word “love” to the Gorgeous Grape bubble that goes behind it
  • Adhere your 2-layered “love” to the Sliver Foil rectangle using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Adhere your heat-embossed sentiment below the word “love”
  • Finally, add 3 Matte Black Dots at random on your Silver Foil rectangle
Here is an angle that shows the dimension given to the word “Love”
