Sent With Lots of Heart

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature hearts, so prepare yourself for lots and lots of love. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

The January-June 2021 Mini Catalog has so many beautiful hearts in it – choosing what to use was so difficult because I just wanted to use it ALL!!! I finally settled on the Lots of Heart Bundle combined with the Love You Always Foil Paper, Pearlescent Specialty Paper, Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon and Heart Charms to make this fun and beautiful card, sure to be admired by any recipient.

How I made it:

Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:

  • Basic Black – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″ on the long side
  • Pearlescent Specialty Paper – 4″ x 5.25″
  • Love You Always Rococo Rose Foil Sheet – 4″ x 5.25″ and 3″ x 2.5″
  • Very Vanilla – 4″ x 5.25″ (for the inside panel)

Die Cut Using Many Hearts Dies:

  • From the Pearlescent Specialty Paper, die cut the vertical row of hearts, placing the die close to the right side of the paper
    • Save the hearts and heart outlines that come out of the die, we will need these later
  • From the 3″ x 2.5″ piece of Rococo Rose Foil die cut the floral heart – do things get much prettier than this delicate floral heart in shiny Rococo Rose Foil???

Stamp Using Lots of Heart:

  • Using StazOn Black Ink, stamp the sentiment “sent with lots of heart” on the Pearlescent Specialty Paper
  • I chose to use StazOn because I was fearful that Memento may smear with the slick texture of the Pearlescent Specialty Paper

Assemble the Card:

  • Fold your scored Basic Black card base at the 4.25” score line and burnish with your bone folder
  • Adhere the 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Rococo Rose Foil to the card front
  • Over the Rococo Rose Foil, adhere the die cut Pearlescent Specialty Paper
  • Inside each open heart, adhere the solid heart that was released from the die – this will leave just the border of the hearts showing, as pictured
  • Adhere the foil floral heart to the card front
  • Cut a 5″ piece of Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon
  • Tie the ribbon to the left side of a Heart Charm and cut the ends on angles
  • Use a Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon and charm to the card front, at the bottom right of the foil floral heart
  • Finally, adhere the Very Vanilla panel to the inside of your card

  2. This is stunning. I love the metallic paper. It gives a Victorian feel, especially on the vanilla. Another great card!

  3. Thanks for the tip regarding the dies…the hearts along the side…I was surprised when I first cut them out…they needed that inside heart or its frame…very pretty
